Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Movie Review!

Hey guys! Mystic here and welcome back to another post on Kidz Universe! Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve last posted! So let’s start off with an introduction for those who are new to this blog. My name is Julianna (MysticSkiezz is my username) and I am 10 years old. On this blog I write posts about DIYs, stories, book and movie reviews, game reviews. and more! I try and post as often as I can, but sometimes activities I do, and school, keep me busy. So let’s move on to the point of this article.

On Friday, November 18, a movie called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them came out! It is part of the Harry Potter series (which is my favorite book series, by the way). It is one of 5 new movies that will be released by J.K Rowling. Fantastic Beats is a prequel to the whole Harry Potter series. That means that the events in the movie took place before the events in the Harry Potter series did. But this movie isn’t about Harry Potter. It’s about a whole new character that isn’t mentioned much in the Harry Potter series: a man named Newt Scammander.

You really need to watch or read the Harry Potter series before you can understand this movie. However, it is still a great movie. Newt Scammander is a wizard. He has a wand, and can perform spells. He also has a magical suitcase full of magical creatures, that are quite different from normal animals. The problem of the story is that these magical creatures escape Newt’s suitcase, and with the help of his new friends, he has to go out and find them. The setting is in 1926, in New York, unlike the Harry Potter series, which takes place in England.

How I would rate this movie? 4 out of 5 because there are some parts I didn’t understand, or are hard to follow. But otherwise, it’s a fantastic movie and I suggest you go watch it over the Thanksgiving break. It’s rated PG-13, there are some parts that may be scary to young children. But my 6 year old sister watched it without a problem, although she probably didn’t understand what was going on. Like I said before, there are some parts that may be confusing if you haven’t read the Harry Potter series. if you have any questions about the movie, comment them below, But just be sure to put “SPOILER ALERT!” in case it’s something that gives away a big part of the movie.
